Their strength lies in balancing powerful features with competitive per-vehicle pricing, making them particularly attractive for mid-size fleets of 20 to 200 vehicles. The AI dashcam and automated workflows have improved significantly since the rebrand, though some longtime users report a steeper learning curve with newer features.
Motive hits the sweet spot for mid-size fleets that need comprehensive fleet management without the premium pricing of Samsara. The Essentials plan is genuinely usable on its own, and the upgrade path to Pro and Enterprise is smooth.
