We created USA Trucker Choice because the trucking industry deserves better information. Owner-operators make critical business decisions every day — which dispatch company to trust, which ELD device to buy, which load board to subscribe to, which factoring company to partner with — and too often, the only “reviews” available are paid placements disguised as editorial content.
We set out to build the NerdWallet for trucking: an independent platform where every service is evaluated using the same transparent methodology, where scores cannot be bought, and where owner-operators can access free tools and guides alongside honest reviews.
Our goal is simple — help trucking professionals make smarter business decisions by giving them access to reliable, unbiased information. We cover 86 products across 9 categories, maintain 15 free calculators, publish 240+ guides, and provide state-by-state trucking data for all 50 states and DC.
Every review, guide, and tool on this site is created by people with direct trucking industry experience.

Every review uses the same standardized scoring methodology across pricing, features, support, reputation, and transparency. No gut feelings — just consistent criteria applied equally.
We never accept payment for higher rankings. Our revenue comes from advertising that is clearly labeled and separated from editorial content. Reviews are written before any ad deals are discussed.
Trucking services change their pricing, features, and policies frequently. We re-evaluate and update reviews on a regular cycle to ensure accuracy. Every review shows its last-updated date.
Our scoring weights and criteria are published openly. If you disagree with a score, you can see exactly how we arrived at it and submit a correction request through our contact form.
Our credibility comes from industry experience, verified data sources, and a published methodology that anyone can audit.
Our team has direct experience in truck dispatching, fleet management, and owner-operator operations. We have worked with carriers across all 48 contiguous states and understand the daily challenges drivers face — because we have lived them.
We pull data from FMCSA databases, Bureau of Labor Statistics, DAT Trendlines, FreightWaves SONAR, and direct carrier/service provider disclosures. Rate data, safety records, and company profiles are cross-referenced against federal databases.
Every product is scored across 5 weighted dimensions: pricing (25%), features (25%), support (20%), reputation (15%), and transparency (15%). We test products firsthand where possible and supplement with verified user feedback and public data.
All articles are fact-checked against primary sources. We cite federal agencies (FMCSA, FHWA, BLS), industry associations (ATA, OOIDA), and verified data platforms. Every claim links to its source.
We believe full transparency builds trust. We disclose this openly because we believe you deserve to know. Both O Trucking and Truck Dispatch Experts are reviewed on this site using the exact same scoring methodology and criteria as every other company. Their reviews receive no special treatment — positive or negative.
Many review sites in the trucking industry have undisclosed partnerships and financial relationships with the companies they review. We chose the opposite approach: disclose everything and let our methodology speak for itself. If our scores are fair, the transparency only strengthens our credibility. If they are not, the transparency invites accountability.
