Cheyenne is the first major stop in Wyoming for eastbound I-80 traffic coming from Utah and the Rocky Mountains. This Pilot Flying J at the I-80 and I-25 junction is a critical fuel and rest stop before the long, wind-swept stretch across southern Wyoming. Wind is the defining hazard of this corridor — overturned trailers are a regular occurrence on I-80 between Cheyenne and Rawlins.
