All our flatbed drivers are trained and tested on FMCSA load securement standards (49 CFR 393.100-393.136). They are proficient with chains, binders, straps, edge protectors, and tarping for commodities including steel, lumber, machinery, pipe, and building materials.

Yes, a subset of our flatbed pool has oversize/overweight (OS/OW) load experience, including escort vehicle coordination, route planning with permit requirements, and night-move operations. Let us know your OS/OW needs and we will match you with appropriately experienced drivers.

Flatbed requires specialized skills — tarping, chaining, coil securement — that not every CDL holder possesses. Our 72-96 hour placement window reflects the extra vetting we do to ensure your driver can actually secure the load safely, not just hold a Class A license.

Most flatbed drivers in our network carry their own basic securement kit (straps, binders, edge protectors). However, for specialized loads like steel coils or oversized equipment, we recommend discussing specific securement requirements so we can match a driver with the right gear and experience.
